MORRISON PIANO TUITION
ALL ABOUT ME
Let me introduce myself. My name is Steph and I have always had a love for music which started when I was a child. Having found my grandad's old keyboard, I started plonking away noisily on the keys, which led to my parents finding a piano teacher for me. And so I began learning the piano with the help of an inspiring and supportive piano teacher. After leaving school I decided not to pursue a musical career and instead studied for four years to be a lawyer. But this was not the path for me. So as an adult I started lessons again, and sat Grades 5 to 8 practical ABRSM exams. In 2014, after several years of office work, I took a leap of faith and decided to help others discover that same joy that I had experienced and begin their own musical journey. And at the same time I continued my musical journey by studying Music Education at the University of Aberdeen.
Teaching both children and adults for the last 9 years has been incredibly enjoyable and rewarding. I do not view teaching as a 'job'. It is my passion. And I am dedicated to helping my students learn the piano and develop their skills and confidence.
